Since 2020 when early baseball Negro Leagues were officially recognized as ”Major League”, there’s a been a renewed interest in this largely unknown chapter of American History and those who made it.
Through the common threads of Beer and Baseball, we invite YOU to help tell the story of the Negro Leagues, beginning with those who blazed their own trail to baseball immortality

Bronze Thunder Twins IPA
From Spring through the end of the World Series (TM) in November, we’ll provide partner breweries with access to the recipe, label, and an array of engaging and interactive point-of-sale materials, social media, art, merchandise, and connections to community partners that will drive awareness, traffic, and beer sales.
Participating breweries are encouraged to brew a minimum of 10 barrels of Bronze Thunder Twins IPA and take full advantage of campaign marketing materials through the end of November.
Thanks to partner Yakima Chief Hops, a discount is available for the hops you’ll need to brew our special recipe developed by the Harlem and Metier Brewing Companies.

The Recipe
Created by Harlem and Metier Brewing Companies in collaboration with Yakima Chief Hops, the Bronze Thunder Twins IPA recipe highlights family grower-owned hops, barley and other ingredients for a homerun brew that embodies the spirit of the Negro Leagues.
The Label
Created by Triple Play Design, the Bronze Thunder Twins IPA label evokes the sights and sounds of the ballpark during the reign of the great Homestead Grays in the 1930’s and ‘40’s. Please add your logo in the space provided before printing

Sales & Promotion
Partners are encouraged to begin brewing and selling a minimum of 10 Barrels of Bronze Thunder Twins IPA as soon as possible. We would like all sales to be completed by the end of the year.
Peak sales time will be baseball season - spring through the end of the World Series. We encourage you to create weekly MLB watch parties, host baseball-themed trivia nights, and ask us about connecting you to local resources for Negro Leagues and Baseball history, art, and entertainment.
Donation
Brewing Partners are expected to donate a minimum of $1 for every pint of Bronze Thunder Twins IPA sold. Monthly donations should begin on the first of the month after sales begin. “Thunder Funds” donations will be collected by the Buck Leonard Association for Sports & Human Enrichment(EIN# 050546757) and shared with the Josh Gibson Foundation EIN# 251753018) .
